" Our Company is one of the world's largest manufacturers of ophthalmic spectacle lenses, and has recently consolidated distribution in Europe into a single warehouse in England.

Gepix was selected to provide the IT system to operate the European Distribution Centre in Colindale, North London. They topped the short list of alternative suppliers because they were able to offer experience of the ophthalmic industry, and showed a willingness to be flexible in meeting the needs of Sola, and adapting systems to operate in a warehouse designed to make optimum use of the space available. The warehouse uses RF terminals for on-line picking, and the warehouse system satisfactorily interfaces with other company systems where required.

The system has proved to be reliable and robust, and the support provided by Gepix very responsive despite the time difference between the UK & France.   The system has been developed continuously over the past 12 months with help from Gepix engineers, who have proved to be open minded and creative in their approach to problem solving. "
